101 Lacrosse Sonoma HS Captures Championship at Pride Invitational; 14U Battles to Final

Petaluma, CA – The Pride Invitational lived up to its name this past weekend, with 101 Lacrosse teams showing grit, resilience, and a commitment to CULTURE that defines the program.

The 101 Lacrosse Sonoma High School team took home the HS Silver Division Championship, overcoming a short bench and scorching heat with only two subs. Their relentless play and team-first mentality pushed them through a tough bracket and into the winner’s circle.

“Our Sonoma HS group played with so much heart all weekend,” said Coach Dave Picardi. “They didn’t just win games—they embodied our CULTURE. They encouraged each other, stayed composed, and flat-out competed. That’s what makes this group special.”

In the 14U division, 101 Lacrosse made another deep run, advancing to the championship game after several gritty performances. Though they came up short in the final, their energy, cohesion, and fight were evident to everyone watching.

“Our 14U team might not have taken home a trophy, but what they brought to the field was championship-level culture,” said Coach Chris Gregorio. “We talk a lot about CULTURE—about selflessness, toughness, and bringing energy every play. These girls lived that out this weekend.”

As both teams continue to train and prepare for a busy summer slate, the Pride Invitational served as a reminder that 101 Lacrosse is not just building lacrosse players—it's building leaders.
